Birthdays in New York

I made New York my first stop on my trip because in needed to catch up with a very good friend who was celebrating his 30th birthday. I’ve been to New York several times, but this time I decided to do things that I haven’t done before, like shopping! I just love how the Euro to US dollar value and how I can purchase almost twice as much with the Euro. I only had so much time alotted in New York and I wanted to make the most of it.

I arrived in JFK without incident around 11:30am and my friend was working, so I had to make my way into the city somehow. I hadn’t had breakfast yet, so I decided to get the airtrain to Jamacia and the LIRR into Penn station because I was staying at one of the hotels New York USA and this would be quicker and less expensive than taking a Taxi, plus it was very easy to do. When I got to Penn Station, I headed straight for my hotel and checked in and got into my room, which was really very nice.

I had enough time before I have to meet my birthday boy, so, after I unpacked, I went the the Apple store. While I was on my way to the store, Adam (birthday boy) called to make sure I made it in alright and to confirm our meeting place tonight. I walked around Time Square and Fifth Avenue and made my way to Apple. I spent two whole hours browsing there and only ended up ipod. So, I made my way back to my hotel and chilled out for awhile and loaded up my new iPod.

Our meeting was in Tribeca, so I showered and changed clothes and headed to the nearest subway ( I really like riding the rails and people watching). When I met Adam, I’d forgotten just how handsome he is. Breathtaking, drop dead georgeous. Now, he can be my birthday present anytime.
